We will host a class concerning the cause, effects, and prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome. This is a great opportunity for parents, guardians, and healthcare providers alike.

We will have Prevent Child Abuse proclamations around the state, in our efforts to prevent child abuse and speak about Pinwheels for Prevention. Below you can find a list of dates and areas where we will host these proclamations.
- Monday, March 22, 2010 at 3:00pm in the city of Sparks
- Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 10:30am at the Washoe County Commission
- Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 9:30am in the city of Reno
- Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 1:30pm at the Washoe County Health District

We will be planting pinwheels in honor of each person who has cared enough to make a difference in preventing child abuse. Various events will be held around the state. Remember that children are our future and that prevention is a shared responsibility. Also, take the time to reach out to kids and parents and recommend ideas that your community can use.
- Thursday, April 1 - Pinwheel display on fence at Wooster High School, 8 AM - 3 PM
- Friday, April 2 - Clark County Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Cappalappa Easter Egg Hunt with Pinwheels for Prevention display at Clark County Fairgrounds, 10 AM
- Sunday, April 4 - Pinwheel planting at Courthouse in Reno, 9 AM
- Friday, April 9 - Pinwheel event at Children's Cabinet - Reno & Sparks, time TBD
